These tasty chicken dippers are easy to make and are bound to become a firm family favourite.


16 chicken tenderloins

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup plain Greek yoghurt

2tsp onion salt

1 lightly beaten egg

2tsp brown sugar

½ a 35g sachet of taco seasoning

2/3 cup sour cream

1 thinly sliced spring onion

1/3 cup whole-egg mayonnaise

1 cup of cheese crackers processed into fine crumbs

1/4tsp chilli powder

Rice bran oil for frying

1tbsp chopped fresh parsley plus more for serving

Lime wedges for serving


  1. Mix sugar, onion salt, egg and yoghurt in a medium bowl. Add chicken and toss to coat.
  2. Combine cheese crackers, breadcrumbs, chilli, parsley and seasoning in a large bowl and coat chicken tenderloins in breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Heat some oil in a large frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken in batches, for 3 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towel.
  4. Whisk mayonnaise, sour cream and onion in a serving bowl and season to taste. Sprinkle extra parsley over chicken and serve with dipping sauce and lime wedges.
